Language Neutral

Coral Mate is a codeless technology storing business logics as a repository in the database itself. This repository of business logics called "Coral Tools" is the intellectual property of Coral Softech & constitutes the backbone framework of "CoralMate" the business management tool. These are language neutral hence provide insurance to the end customer against language obsolescence.

Coral Tool is like shorthand that would enable customers with some basic training to rapidly customize the application to meet specific requirements at present or in future.

Database independent

This language independent application "Coral Mate" has another unique advantage that it can be interfaced with various types of RDBMs packages used in the organization. It can operate as easily on My SQL as it would work on SQL, Oracle or DB2.

Operating System independent

"Coral Mate" is language independent yet can operate under various Operating systems by using the appropriate user interface. User interface in the application is only 10% of the source code hence only such layer will need modification for the application to run under any operating system. Coral Mate can operate on windows or Linux thus help save users on the total cost of ownership.

Multiple location companies without dedicated bandwidths:

Consolidation of data to a centralized location is a major bottleneck for small & medium size companies with multiple offices without a dedicated bandwidth, which are prohibitively expensive. We have designed a tool - CoroMerge, that can automatically merge data from various branch locations into a central server at scheduled time intervals over Email or over broadband. All locations can work independently within their LAN or on standalone laptops and at periodic intervals CoroMerge can pick up data on incremental basis and mirror & synchronize the same on the central server. To optimize the utilization of bandwidth, CoroMerge can be programmed to mirror only a part of the pertinent application. Near real time information would be available at all locations for analysis, monitoring and decision-making.

Coral Mate can therefore work in centralized, distributed or client server architecture depending on customer requirements. It supports user friendly web interface for real time working. It can also be conveniently used where internet access is not available through java based "off line" forms. "Off line" operations can provide enhanced user experience by seamlessly migrating to HTML based, on line usage when connected to broadband. Coral Mate also supports GPRS interface for users on the move.

Seamless integration of heterogeneous Modules:

To get the best out of an ERP it must flow through all functional aspects of the organization & provide seamless workflow to create one unified processing & analysis interface. It is difficult if not impossible to seamlessly integrate different functional modules supplied by multiple vendors. Heterogeneous modules may require repetitive data entry and lack of seamless integration of databases can make cross-functional reporting difficult. In such an environment cross functional validations would be absent due to real time disconnect between modules.

Coral mate is designed to permeate & integrate every functional aspect of an organization. It is thus a complete tool for marketing, designing, product planning, HR management, Staff appraisal, Accounts and Factory & treasury management. It addresses the pain areas of every business manager & endeavors to bring complex intricate business equations on a single sheet with colorful highlights to focus on relevant issues. Tool ensures context sensitive highlight of crucial areas & help understand and monitor performance standards.

For example if HR & Payroll is not an integrated part of the ERP, the employee salary and TDS details will have to be re-entered in the accounts module and the payment made from the accounts module will have to be re-entered into the payroll module to keep track of any short or excess payment made to the employee.

Cross functional comparison reports across branches to know sales orders booked for every rupee of salary bill may be difficult in heterogeneous modules and would be unattainable on real time basis. Automated appraisal systems may require seamless integration of all functional modules.

Field force management & HR must be integrated so that salary preparation based on field reports could be carried out. It can also facilitate that as soon as someone puts in the resignation, all sales cases are handed over to other colleagues, thereby ensuring that customers receive the required support from the company.

Non-integrated solutions would defeat the main purpose of ERP implementation

Dual Forking of database entries

Coral Mate uses dual forking approach. At the initial stages of data entry it is broken up into two streams one as defined for accounting purposes & other as required by business managers for running profit center wise, project wise, MIS. Check points are provided to ensure that two sets of reports are in sync with each other all the time.
